My Little Purple Princess

We have been in the "princess" stage at our house for way too long. Why doesn't someone tell little girls that princesses aren't even real?!! A few years ago, while we were at DisneyWorld in an auditorium packed with people, the spotlight suddenly settled on four-year-old Emma and Mickey Mouse asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She announced that she would be a princess, and everyone giggled. (Just for the record, our next family vacation is scheduled for Williamsburg.)

Now, Madeline is completely obsessed with anything purple, frilly, or sparkly. I want to tell her to forget the princesses; that someday she will be a nuclear biologist, but then I see how her eyes light up when her dress twirls out when she spins, and how happy she is in her "purple princess dress" and I can't bare to spoil her fun. This is how she spends almost the entire day...Keeping a princess schedule can be absolutely exhausting...

A few days ago, I found Ms. sparkles tuckered out on the hard floor with her blankie sound asleep.

Oh, now this is about the perfect way for anyone to start the day. I love your "tale of a princess" and the ultimate crashing on the floor is way too much. We've been through the purple and now, to go along with the Pinkalicious book; pink is it. Maddie, you're a perfect model for your personal photographer. GA Jean

It sounds like Olivia and Madeline have two things in common. They both love princesses and purple. Miranda is a pink girl, so it's probably good that Olivia is partial to purple. I hope you have a great time in Williamsburg. We lived close to there at Ft Eustis for 6 months and loved being close to Williamsburg. It's a great place!

What a cutie! Ava just started saying the word "purple" more. It makes me laugh because she actually says "peuple." :)

My 2 princesses will be 5 in April and they are still going strong! All I know is that their princess dresses now look like maid dresses, but we have definitely gotten our moneys worth out of them! Madeline makes a very sweet princess!

She is breathtaking. No matter where her talents take her, she will always have a claim to "princess" as her back-up. Love you Maddie pea.
